Dear Southwest Coastal Area Local Retiree Chapter Member:

This letter is to update you regarding your retiree chapter.

We hope all of you are doing well and enjoying your retirement years. I was fortunate to celebrate my nineteenth year of retirement on July 1, 2022.

We currently have 221 members. We normally meet four times a year. The meeting location is Denny’s located at the corner of Tustin and Lincoln in the city of Orange, Denny’s1695 E Lincoln Ave, Orange, CA 92865. The next scheduled meeting for the SWCAL Retiree Chapter will be Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 11 AM.

National APWU elections are happening. Ballots will be mailed during the period of September 10 through September 15 of an election year. During this voting cycle, you will have an opportunity to vote for the National President, Legislative/Political Director, Human Relations Director, and Retiree Director.

Your Retiree Chapter met on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, and reviewed the candidates for four positions and endorsed four people.

All retiree chapter members are encouraged to vote.

The Southwest Coastal Area Local Retiree Chapter officers’ nomination of officers and election will occur in January of 2023. We will vote for President, Treasurer, and three Trustees.

Retiree Chapter Meeting – Denny’s located at 1695 E Lincoln Ave, Orange, CA 92865. The meeting starts at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.
